Michael Stefanowicz has been named Asnuntuck Community College’s Dean of Academics. Stefanowicz brings nearly 20 years of community college experience to his new position. The Dean had served as Division Director for Liberal Arts at Manchester Community College (MCC) since 2010. He had been employed at MCC since 2003.

The American Red Cross will be holding their monthly Asnuntuck Community College blood drive on Friday, January 23rd. The blood drive will be held in Café 2 from 11:15 a.m.-4 p.m. All donors in January will receive a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card. Asnuntuck Community College students developed a new community service initiative in the weeks preceding the holiday season. The Criminal Justice students from the Police and the Community class teamed together with the program’s Fitness Club to begin the “Boots, Books and Blankets” service activity. The evening will include information regarding the 13 Healthcare Career Certificate Programs available at the college, as well as light refreshments, free chair massages and more.
